S&S 50 Anniversary Bike Build Off and Weekend!

So, I leave for Des Moines in a few hours, then will be riding up to

for the Anniversary Deal!
with Jeff Wright, Fatty, and a bunch or other derelicts because Jeff's S&S Shovel is in the 50th Build off.

It also turns out that S&S asked me to be in the build off as well with my X-Wedge!
Very Cool! Even though if it came down to voting between mine of Jeff's I'd have to give it to Jeff, his bike KILLS it!

So this bike will be in LaCrosse as well!

And FRIDAY NIGHT IN LACROSSE, there is the mandatory COC party!

So, if you can make it come down, or up, depending where you are comin from, DO IT FUCKERS!!!

Okay, so you want to rake your cycle. You always hear of people cutting and pullin out and re weldin. Well, that works fine if you do it right and aren't totally drunk or stoned when you do it.
but
I had never heard of anyone de-raking that way.
Thats what Fatty did with the XL he is building.

As with all jobs like this, it's all about measuring and cutting, or measuring twice, then cutting... you get the idea.

He did the cutting with a cut off wheel, in his hand is the piece he cut out. That fuckin wedge is fuckin perfect! I bet if you measure the thickness side to side its probably within a few thousandths od an inch! VEry very impressive! and nice plate job as well!

This is the one thing i'm doing that I'm not sure I want to be doing but I am anyway.
In my opinion a magneto cap shouldn't be metal! But, I am determined to make it work. I am pouring my own isolators for the contacts and machining the brass contacts from scratch. As well as powdercoating the inside of the cap...

I do have the polyurethane caps almost to the point of where i want to actually sell them, I have a handful on mag bikes right now and I have addressed the few problems they had for the new ones...

I was up in Iowa and Wisconsin this past weekend, got to run an S&S X-Wedge bike on the dragstrip

Fuckin Sweet as hell!
In case you are wondering why I got to do that, its because I was going up to La Crosse , WI to take the S&S VFI training, since I am building an S&S X-Wedge bike to debut the motor to japan this October!
