Thats the restored P-38 of Lefty Gardner, once known and raced as "White Lightning" it's now owned by Red Bull, and has an amazing polish job. Happy to see it back in the air.

This place on Ventura Blvd was a "shady" place... like ewwww shady
it's down the street from the "Arthur's Hideaway" motel, there was a room on the sidewalk with open big windows and a mirror on the ceiling, havent seen a pic online...
