Stellar post Dave, they ran those things on the ragged edge of desruction, engine life wasn't too much more than required to make it through the course . . . 328mph back then was like breaking the sound barrier . . . brave, ballsy blokes and Mitchell had an eye for aesthetics very rarely matched in the eighty years since . . . great shit man, thanks.

How it took the Trophy to convince British top brass that Mitchell might be onto something.
