Best tool ever! I have a "Fuller" brand made in Japan that was my Grandpa's. I still use it all the time.

Ha Dave, my younger brother still has MY Dad's, but it won't go in reverse anymore, just forward, and locked.

No, I doubt he'll get rid of it, if he did, I'D take it!

My Dad had one too. I nearly sent myself to the E.R. playing with it when I was a kid. Those things are full auto!

Yep they do, although Stanley, who made them in prolific numbers don't seem to any more, you can get them and the bits from a lot of good tool suppliers. If you want a Stanley one you can find new old stock but be quick the collecting Nazis are homing in on them and pushing the prices up.

My dad has one of them. I thought it was so cool. It went right along with the fencing pliers that twisted the wire too.

They kind of exist.

Yankee Screwdrivers aren't made anymore. Also the bits were specif to each size driver and nearly impossible to find anymore. There are adapters made for the originals to accept 1/4 hex drives now.

My Grandad had one ad swore by them! I have an original and love it too.

Thanks also for all the stuff you put up on your blog. GREAT STUFF!

Yes they do exist, and they're damn nifty! A friend of mine has 3 I think. You see 'em at swap meets from time to time.

I've got one, inherited from my old man when he passed. If I come across another I'll grab it for ya.

I have a Yankee, still in the original box. Cool item.

My Dad swears on the Stanley version- went parts hunting for him at my local corner hardware stores- the owner of one store told me the story of an Amish doctor coming down from PA and clearing his entire drawer of Stanley parts and Yankee screwdrivers- all of which had lived in the store for many many years. I guess the Amish still use the shit out of these things.

I've got the exact "Yankee Handyman" in the photo. Is that the one you're looking for or just anything of it's kind?
