I'm with Markman. Engine is a CX500/GL500 or CX650/GL650, but mounted sideways and chain driven vice shaft driven. Very cool-- similar to a bonneville salt flat bike that broke the 500cc pushrod class record this year.
we made my triumph in the other corner of the same shop in 3 months. this bike was started before i ever got there, and being worked on after i left. hahaha wendy. smooches!

My first thought was firehawk, I think it's a 996 fireblade?
CX 500 or 650
thats sure looks like a gl500 or a gl650, also known as a cx motor. ive had a few of those bikes, damn reliable.
