I am always wondering at the history of the Comisky aftermarket tank emblems on this bike, i have a few sets but to be honest i have never seen an old pic of a bike with em! till now!!!
Dave, They were first produced by Cominsky in 1940 when HD produced the first metal badged models. They came in the colors offered that year by HD. You could add letters produced by Buco on the middle strip. I have the original blue ones with ROCKET spelled out in the middle on my 40 knuckle. Great photo.
