Dave, you need to go to Oshkosh. I went for several years and was the prez of the local EAA chapter. Chad also went to Oshkosh to the Air Academy for 2 years.
the plane that hughes wrecked- supposed to be a aerial reconnaissance plane but it was slow at low altitudes and just overall sucked. i think it had a wheel, not a stick. hell you would know better than me.

Hell yeah, contra-rotating propellers! A single piston engine driving two propellers in opposite rotation.
