Saturday there was a small party at Sugar Bears shop to celebrate his 70th birthday!!!
I have a ton of respect for Sugar Bear as he's one of those guys who has always done it his way and not comprimised, for the past FORTY YEARS!!!
Some quick pix!
This is the FIRST springer Sugar Bear EVER built!!!
Lots of chopper glory like this there too!
and me and the Bear himself!
big thanks as well to his wife Fuji for putting the party together!
and HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUGR BEAR!!!
Here are both pages from the parts book. Most of the stuff is the same as normal, cept the rod and the lever arm, not really sure why we couldnt use a normal big twin lever arm, the square is probably the same size...

So, The Bennett's (Eric and Bob) were back out of the salt and decided that they needed to better their record in the APG 1650 class,
"A" means Special Constrution
"P" means Pushrod Engine
"G" means Gas
1650 is 1650cc or 100" displacement
They held the record at 168.1 MPH, they went out and did and average of two passes at 169.759mph. That might not seem like much, but at that speed a mph is a VERY hard thing to come by, congrats to them!
