The Motor-Mags
While building my X-Wedge, I realized that I really wanted to run a cast mag wheel. But no cast mag wheels exist that will work for the style I was going for. I wanted to machine a 21" wheel like a Morris mag, but couldn't get a suitable blank, as the company that makes them, well, sucks.so...
I was having a conversation with Jeff Wright and he suggested a do moto mags, I had no idea what they were, (I skated, didn't ride BMX) but I looked em up and they are even cooler than a Kimtab Snowflake, but of course none exist.
So, I made 2 sets, one for me and one for Jeff. At some point we will also have them for sale. the first Chopperdaves Casting Co / Church of Choppers collaboration. Once we figure out how were are going to do hubs. I used a combiantion of some modified junk hubs I had and made new brake sides for em.

Helmet
sometime in 91 I think, i was watching one of the music channels on cable and saw the second version video of the song "Unsung" by Helmet.
The below video is the earlier version, but I remember watchin it and being fuckin stoked that "hey, these guys are playing metal and they have SHORT HAIR!!!"

A few years ago, she was shooting a pic for the calendar at wcc and she fully looked me up and down and smirked, like guys do to girls, it ruled.

Leo Payne's Turnip Eater
Leo Payne had a habit of naming his racing bikes – Quarter Horse, Drag Sport and the most popular of them all, the Turnip Eater. The name of the bike, which started life as a 1957 Harley-Davidson Sportster, was said to be a reference to the American-made machine eating up British-made brands on the drag strip. His bikes had the engraving of "In God We Trust" on the clutch covers. No one knew for sure if it was a show of religious faith or a humorous statement on what it was like to race one his intimidating fuel-burning racers.
"Turnip Eater," was also the first non-streamliner to go over 200 mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1969. Payne was a master at building special carburetors to run a nitromethane and gas combination. Payne’s designs helped S&S Cycle launch a successful line of racing carburetors.
